3. How do I add directories to be backed up?
Adding directories to your backup list is a breeze. Navigate to the "Overview" tab within Alma Cloud Backup's interface, and click on the "Add Path to Backup List" button. Select the directories you wish to secure, and let Alma Cloud Backup take care of the rest.
4. Can I modify or remove directories from the backup list?
Absolutely. Alma Cloud Backup gives you full control over your backup list. In the "Overview" tab, you can easily view, modify, or remove directories. If a directory no longer needs protection, simply disable it, and it will be removed from the list, keeping your backup streamlined and efficient.
5. What happens if I disable a path?
Disabling a path in Alma Cloud Backup means it will be excluded from future backups. This path will be removed from the backup queue, ensuring that your storage is used efficiently and only for the data you need to protect. However, remember that once a path is disabled, it will no longer be backed up by Alma Cloud Backup.
6. How do I know if my data is being backed up?
Your peace of mind is our priority. In the "Overview" tab, Alma Cloud Backup provides clear indicators of your backup status. When you see the message "You are protected," it means that all selected directories and settings have successfully passed all the necessary tests, and your system is ready for the next scheduled backup. Essentially, this status indicates that your data is prepared to be fully protected during the next backup cycle based on your chosen frequency. If the status changes to "Backup is currently in progress...", you can rest assured that Alma Cloud Backup is actively securing your data.
Additionally, the "Overview" tab displays the "Last Backup Date" and "Next Backup Date" for quick reference. You can also check your backup frequency and individual backup storage in the "My Account" tab, giving you complete insight into your backup schedule and storage usage.
7. Can I monitor the progress of my backups?
Yes, Alma Cloud Backup keeps you informed every step of the way. In the "Overview" tab, a real-time progress bar at the bottom of the interface shows you exactly where your backup stands, giving you full transparency and control over your data protection.
